The Brij Mohan Anand Foundation was found in 2012 in order to preserve the extensive collection Anand left behind to his wife after his death in 1986.
With the aim to introduce Brij Mohan Anand to the international modern art world, the co-founders took art-historian from Kent University Dr. Grant Pooke and the biographer Aditi Anand (no relation to the artist) onboard. Their extensive research of the artist’s personal and family history, art styles and works formed the base for the artist’s first monograph ‘Narratives for Indian Modernity. The Aesthetic of Brij Mohan Anand.’ released by the Brij Mohan Anand Foundation and HarperCollins Publishers India.
The foundation’s vision is to give Brij Mohan Anand the well-deserved global recognition and position within global modern art domain.
